Thank you so much for this report. I just signed up for Farrell’s. My class starts in a couple of weeks. It’s nice to know what to expect. Have you noticed any differences in your body yet, such as clothes fitting looser? Will you be doing a report on the nutrition part of the program?
I can talk a little bit about the nutrition portion, though I’ve had to modify it quite a bit since I am vegan. It’s pretty much like the Body For Life diet and you can find a lot of info about that online. I’ve only been going for a week, so not big changes yet! I’ve lost a couple of pounds but we will see if that keeps up.
I am trying to decide if I should sign up for the next 10 week challenge that starts Monday. I workout everyday and lift heavy weights. I just don’t eat the best so I think this would be a good motivator for me to start eating cleaner. I just don’t know if it’s worth the $!! What do you think?
I have been in the 10 week challenge for almost 3 weeks now. Prior to this I had lost 20 pounds with Weight watchers, and doing Jillian workouts like 4times a week.
I already have been eating cleaner for awhile now. I am basically a Pescatarian (I eat fish but no meat), but I do periodically eat meat if it is free range organic, my purpose for not eating meat was the mass production of animals and their lives before. If I know they have had a life, I feel okay with it at times.
Outside of that, I needed a program that I could justify my workouts and visits with someone other than myself.
What is amazing is that your commitment starts with the orientation day. Many tests, a picture, step test, weight, and then a timed run are taken. If is a hardcore program. This is for committed fitness people as it is 6 days a week for 10 weeks.
My workout time is 7am. From beginning to end it lasts 45 minutes exactly. Rarely do they ever run over. It alternates between kickboxing with gloves and bag, and resistance training, lower and upper body.
The price is $485 with tax. So, for 60 workouts, it is $8.00 a day.
I make my own lunch, and make a my coffee (from Caribou coffee beans) so this saves me money and justifies what I paid for the challenge. What is interesting is that I was talking with one of my salon clients (I do hair), about the
Program and telling her I was debating it. She asked me why, I told her the commitment, money, etc… Her advice (she is 70, and has been a client for over 20 years), is to stop thinking about it, and go for it….I took her advice and don’t regret it at all!! 😉
It is probably one of the best choices I have ever made….
